I heard about this a few hours ago. Pat Day, (Dr Pat) is in the palliative care unit at St Charles Hospital, Ladbroke Grove. He has cancer and is very weak. His daughter says that any friends are welcome to visit him there at any time and that though he is not always conscious, will be delighted to see old chums if he recognises them. Just heard that Pat died this morning just before dawn. His son and daughter were with him. Goodbye to a lovely bloke xxx

I am sorry to hear that, I didn't know him well but I do remember him as a nice man.

My condolences to his family.
